wonderland

Wonderland
is a pseudo on-line catalog and collective which markets products to insure safety and security for
children. Created for Julia Scher's installation "Wonderland" the web site was designed and produced by a
cross-disciplined and multi-talented bunch. The catalog presents two picture stories accessed through an elevator
shaft. The photo essays contain an imagined narrative advertising an array of products that instigate questions about
your personal properties and emotions. Tangents have been included and disturbances have been added to
encourage purchase and reveal the alterior motives which Wonderland mimics from our excessively surveilled and
manipulated society. It was the design intention to make the Wonderland site both a fantasy place and selling space
within a 2D digital environment aiming to collect a listing of your fears and desires. |
